Botox injections for the face
Botox facial injections are a procedure aimed at eliminating or reducing facial wrinkles. Botulinum toxin is a substance that causes temporary (up to 4-5 months) immobilization of muscles, which leads to smoothing of wrinkles and prevention of their appearance. The name Botox, which is often used in everyday life, is not entirely correct – the word Botox is the brand name of the botulinum toxin preparation by Allergan. There are dozens of different botulinum toxin preparations on the world market, with different names. Therefore, when we talk about such procedures, it is more correct to call it botulinum therapy.

Stages of the project
First, a consultation with a doctor to discuss the desired results and possible risks.
Then the skin is cleaned and, if necessary, an anesthetic cream is applied.
After that, the aesthetician makes several (3-8) injections of botulinum toxin in different points of the face, depending on the individual characteristics of the patient's face. This stage may cause a little discomfort, but it is usually well tolerated.

How the session goes in our clinic
The botulinum toxin therapy procedure in our clinic is one of the most popular and demanded.
For more than 20 years, we have been using botulinum toxins from leading manufacturers – Dysport (Ipsen), Botox (Allergan) – to eliminate facial wrinkles.
During the consultation, the doctor assesses the possibility of using botulinum toxin and the intended areas of injection, discusses it with the patient.
Then, after treating the skin with an antiseptic, injections are performed. Anesthesia is usually not required.
The effect of botulinum toxin manifests itself gradually, within 7-14 days. Therefore, in two weeks, we ask the patient to come for a follow-up examination to assess the result of the procedure and possible correction.

Benefits and results
Botulinum toxin can eliminate or reduce wrinkles and lines on the face, especially in the forehead, around the eyes, and at the corners of the mouth. It can also help to tighten the skin and make it firmer. The procedure usually takes only a few minutes, and the results are visible in a few days.
- Botulinum toxin can also be used to eliminate excessive sweating and even correct certain medical problems, such as migraines, tension headaches, tics, and muscle spasms.
- It is important to note that the results of Botox injections are not permanent, and the procedure must be repeated at regular intervals. However, due to its effectiveness and the lack of need for long-term recovery, Botox facial injections remain a popular choice for people who want to preserve the youthfulness and beauty of their skin.
