Phototherapy
Phototherapy is a treatment method based on the use of light rays of a certain wavelength to solve various skin problems. This procedure can be used to treat rosacea, acne, photoaging, pigmentation, scars, and to stimulate skin repair and renewal processes.

Stages of the procedure
The first stage is a consultation with a cosmetologist who conducts an examination and determines the goals of the procedure.
Then, the skin is prepared by cleansing and disinfecting it. The next step is the phototherapy procedure itself, where special equipment is directed at problem areas of the skin.
After the procedure, a moisturizing and soothing cream is applied, and the doctor prescribes further care and treatment.

How the session goes in our clinic
The IPL treatment procedure in our clinic begins with a diagnosis of the skin condition. For this purpose, we use the Observe520 device, which uses light of different wavelengths, which allows us to see hidden processes in the skin, or those that are just beginning.
Phototherapy can affect various skin structures (blood vessels, pigment, sebaceous glands), thanks to the fact that light rays of different wavelengths can be used. Therefore, depending on the tasks, we prescribe a course of treatment using one or another mode. We often use a combination of them, as the problem is rarely isolated. In our clinic, we use the Clearlight device, which has several filters to solve various problems (blood vessels, pigmentation, acne, photo rejuvenation).
The phototherapy procedure is not pleasant, to be honest. But anesthesia is not used during it, because when the anesthetic cream is applied, peculiar processes occur in the skin, which reduces the effectiveness of the procedure.
To maintain the results of phototherapy, we always prescribe home treatment and protection.
